Great Things Happening at the IRS for Taxpayers

The Trump Administration has proposed a reduction in IRS funding of $2.49 billion for next year, representing a 20% drop from 2025, which would result in the lowest budget for the IRS since 2002. According to the Trump Administration, “the reduced budget would restore IRS as a neutral arbiter that would refrain from using weaponized enforcement or overzealous rules.”

Do you remember the $80 billion in additional funding provided by the Biden Administration and its Congressional Democratic cronies, which included $46 billion for enforcement or rather, the use of Gestapo Tactics against hardworking taxpayers? Well, to date, the Republican Congress has “clawed back” $42 billion of those enforcement funds! According to the Kiplinger Tax Letter (May 8, 2025), “Look for Congress to try to rescind even more money sometime this year.”

But here’s the icing on the cake, Billy Long, the newly confirmed IRS Commissioner, has a history of advocating for the abolition of the IRS. While serving in Congress from 2011 to 2023, he co-sponsored legislation aimed at eliminating the IRS and replacing the federal income tax with a national sales tax.

In my Master of Laws (LL.M.) thesis, submitted April 17, 2007, I argued that the U.S. income tax system violates constitutional rights, particularly the Fourth Amendment right to be secure in our papers and effects, and our Fifth Amendment right not to be compelled to be a witness against ourselves. As IRS Commissioner Billy Long advocated, my LL.M. thesis, summa cum laude, provides a legal justification for the abolishment of the IRS and replacement of the income tax with a national sales or consumption tax.

Get a copy of The U.S. Individual Income Tax is Incompatible with a Free Society, available through our website or directly from Amazon.com. Read it, contact your Congressional Representatives, and send them copies. That is, unless they are Democrats, then you would be wasting your time… they violate their oaths to uphold the Constitution and love ALL taxes, believing that actual taxpayers do not “pay their fair share!”

You may also want to get a copy of The Case for Trump’s Tariffs and the Elimination of the Federal Income Tax. Read carefully and share with everyone! Send copies to President Trump!

President Trump has floated the idea of doing away with the federal income tax and replacing it with excise taxes and customs duties or tariffs. He wants to bring us back to the time when the United States of America was extremely prosperous, when there was no income tax, no tax on corporations, and no payroll taxes.

Cutting the IRS enforcement budget and appointing Billy Long as IRS Commissioner is the first step in the right direction!

Dum Spiro Spero—While I breathe, I hope.
