It was Thomas Jefferson who wrote, “The mass of mankind has not been born with saddles on their backs, nor a favored few booted and spurred, ready to ride them legitimately, by the grace of God.” Yet, since the founding of the Democratic Party by President Andrew Jackson[2] through today, the Democratic Leaders have demonstrated by their actions, that they believe they are the “favored few booted and spurred, ready to ride [the masses] legitimately.”
Unbeknownst to most democrat supporters, the Democratic Party was “the party of slavery, segregation, and eugenics” and today, it “remains the party of racism, welfare enslavement, and ‘liberal fascism’.”[3]
Dinesh D’Souza’s 2016 documentary film and accompanying book—Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party—is a must see or read! Mark Levin’s, The Democratic Party Hates America, also a must read, presents a similar critical view of the Democratic Party, arguing that it has embraced Marxist ideology and is working to undermine American freedoms. Levin also proves that the Democratic Party has rewritten history to obscure its past and is actively pushing policies that erode individual liberties.
Levin wrote, the Democratic Party “is built on the demands and propaganda of revolutionaries, demagogues, and malcontents, and has a horrifying history of supporting the most contemptible causes, including slavery, segregation, the Ku Klux Klan, eugenics, and even lynchings.”[4]
Both authors argue that the Democratic Party has a history of manipulating narratives and concealing its dubious past. Levin, in particular, points out that the party has embraced radical leftist policies that undermine law and order, which align with how many Democratic leaders framed the LA riots. Senator Cory Booker referred to the riots as “peaceful” protests. Similarly, Senator Alex Padilla described the riots as “passionate” and “overwhelmingly peaceful” protests.
At this point, there appears to be only one democrat that has broken ranks with the Democratic Party, Senator John Fetterman. He called the LA riots out for what they are, “anarchy and true chaos,” arguing that the Democrats lose moral high ground when they fail to condemn acts of violence, looting, and property damage.
Democratic policies have resulted in open borders, allowing criminals, terrorists, drugs, and child traffickers into our country, which has resulted in rampant crime in many of our formerly great cities throughout the United States. The Democrats have aligned themselves against President Trump, siding with illegal criminal aliens, along with the thugs that riot, loot, and burn our cities.
Levin calls democrats Marxists. Others call them socialists, and many Democrats consider themselves democratic socialists. As Frederic Bastiat (1801-1850) pointed out, socialism and communism “are basically the same plant in [two] different stages of growth.”
Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels outlined 10 key measures in The Communist Manifesto (1848) as steps toward transitioning from capitalism to communism. Here are the steps that have been accomplished within the United States of America, primarily by the Democratic Party:
1) Abolition of property in land has indirectly been accomplished through environmental regulations, local property regulations & taxes, and the estate tax.
2) A heavy progressive or graduated income tax to redistribute wealth.
3) Abolition of all rights of inheritance to prevent wealth accumulation across generations has partially been accomplished through the Estate Tax.
4) Confiscation of property to maintain state control has been accomplished through civil asset forfeiture, which is a legal process where law enforcement can seize property they suspect is connected to criminal activity—even if the owner hasn’t been charged with a crime.
5) Centralization of credit in the hands of the state via a national bank (Federal Reserve).
6) Centralization of communication and transport: While private companies dominate, government agencies regulate and oversee infrastructure like highways, railways, and air travel.
7) Free education for all children has been accomplished through government-funded schools and has become a propaganda arm for Government’s Marxist ideology.
The Democratic Party supports all the above Marxists principles and has been leading us down the road to socialism and ultimately, communism. President Trump and his Administration are trying to reverse course, destroy the Deep State, and get us back to the time when there was no income tax, no tax on corporations, and no payroll taxes.
As Bastiat wrote, “A citizen cannot at the same time be free and not free.” We must choose between them… the Trump Administration or the Democrats.
